Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a Lebanese/British lawyer, human rights activist, and philanthropist. A graduate of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her lengthy and successful career in the fields of international law and human rights have won her international acclaim. Some of her most prominent clients include various nation-states and countries, such as the Republic of Armenia in its fight for acknowledgement of Armenia's participation in the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney fell in love with and was married to American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a household word in pop media. Prior to this, she was gained a lot of recognition in legal circles and was well-known because of her ability to advocate for clients. Her work ranges from tackling social justice and human rights concerns to representing multinational corporations during negotiations and court actions on government regulation. In 2015 her title was barrister one type of legal representative of the British courts in London's Doughty Street Chambers.
